JAMMU, Aug 4: With an aim to provide platform to budding artists, Music Culture, an Institute of Music and the Nirvana Academy, a Cultural Club in association with Saraswati Sangeet Kala Mandir and Sharda Sangeet Sadan organized “Nanhe Kalakar” at Indira Vihar, Old Janipur here today.
Ravi Sharma renowned music composer of the State was the chief guest on the occasion, while Satya Bhama Dubey, noted classical singer; Hitesh Badyal, president Nirvana Academy; Rakesh Sharma of Kashmir Musical Store and Sharad Chander Pandey, Regional Head, Sharda Education Academy were the guests of honour.
The programme commenced with a tribute to Kishore Kumar on his birth anniversary by Rahil Raja followed by some spellbound performances by Chitrakshi Mehta, Jatin Sachdeva, Arya Sharma and Hirdesh on guitar.
“Akhiyan nu rehn de” by Paras Sharma and Priam was well appreciated by the audience. Popular Song “Maa” was performed by Nivedita on the occasion.
Sumit Sharma, Chairman of the Institute while speaking on the occasion said that the Institute is providing training in guitar, casio as well as in vocals and will enjoy organizing these kinds of events to provide exposure to kids in future also.
Bhavana Sharma, Director, Music Culture, presented vote of thanks and said that the Institute will organize such programmes in future with the help of cultural organization Nirvana Academy. Amit Sharma music teacher trained all the participants in the programme.
Students of Music Culture, Saraswati Sangeet Kala Mandir and Sharda Sangeet Sadan who took part in the programme included Abhey, Ameya, Shivanshu Tripathi, Aditya Khajuria, Tejas, Rohan, Akshit Nanda, Manav, Pranav, Umar Qureshi, Madhav, Utkarsh, Meenu, Arnav, Ayushi, Surbhi, Akhil, Aneesh, Ojas, Bhumanya, Anjana and Devarshi.
Later-on, the chief guest distributed certificates among the participants.
