Vikas elected jt secy of Judo Federation of India

JAMMU, Aug 8: Former judoka and general secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Judo Association, Vikas Gupta has been elected joint secretary of the Judo Federation of India in its Annual General Body Meeting which was held at Imphal in Manipur recently.
The meeting was attended by 56 representatives from the affiliate units of the Federation.
For the post of joint secretary, Vikas got 47 votes out of a total of 56 votes.
As per the reports reaching here, the election was conducted under the supervision of retired Justice YK Sangal as chairman Election Commission, while Advocate Akshay Sahni was the Returning Officer for the election. Subash Basumatari, Officer from Sports Authority of India (SAI) attended the meeting as Government Observer.
President J&K Judo Association, Thakur Rachpal Singh welcomed Vikas’ election as joint secretary of the Federation.
