KATHUA, Jan 28: Kathua police today recovered approximately six grams of Heroin like narcotics near Chak Drab Khan in the district and arrested one lady in this connection.
Police said on the overall directions of SSP Kathua, R.C Kotwal today a team of Police Station, Kathua led by Inspector, O P Chib, SHO Police Station (PS) Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarters, Kathua, Shammi Kumar during patrolling/ Naka checking duty at Chak Drab Khan noticed one suspicious lady who was coming from Chak Drab Khan link road towards Housing Colony Kathua.
She was asked to stop for checking. On Physical search, approximately six grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics was recovered from the illegal possession of the lady namely Rajji wife of Ravi of Chak Drab Khan, tehsil & district Kathua.
A case FIR No. 43/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Kathua and further investigation is under process.
Meanwhile, District Police Samba has arrested a drug peddler and recovered 12 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like substance from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba.
Police said team of PS Samba while conducting patrolling in its jurisdictional area, intercepted one person namely Mohammad Sadiq, son of Mohammad Yousaf of Khanpur tehsil Marheen district, Kathua at present Sui Nallah, Sumb road, Samba moving in suspecious circumstances and during his search approximately 12 grams of heroin (Chitta) like substance was recovered from his possession.
A case FIR Number 01/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Samba. Further investigation is underway.
