JAMMU, Jan 31: Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) here today organized a Symposium on ‘Transformational Leadership in Governance-The Gandhian Way’ to commemorate 74th Martyrs Day.
The occasion was addressed by Rohit Kumar Singh, Secretary, Consumer Affairs; Dr. Shobhana Radhakrishna, veteran Gandhian; Pradeep Kumar Agarwal, CMD Cotton Corporation of India Ltd and Atul Sobti, Director General SCOPE.
Rohit Kumar Singh in his address enunciated Gandhiji’s vision of governance being citizen centric. Dr. Shobhana Radhakrishna highlighted the global presence of Gandhiji as a moral leader.
Atul Sobti said that amidst rapid changes there is a rising need for leaders to adopt Gandhian virtues today so as to instill positivity and self-belief in the people.
Pradeep Kumar Agarwal stressed on the need for leaders of today to create trust and influence people as manpower is the most essential component of any organization.
