UDHAMPUR, Feb 1: Udhampur Police arrested three drug peddlers in different cases and recovered 55.3 grams of Heroin like narcotic substance from their possession.
Police patrolling party of Police Station Udhampur, led by SHO Inspector Chaman Gorka, apprehended one drug peddler from Jakhani naka when the accused was coming from Chenani towards Udhampur.
During frisking of the accused, identified as Adil Jahangir, son of Akhter Hussain of Ward number 5, Chenani, Police recovered 30 grams of Heroin like narcotic substance from him. He was arrested on the spot. In this regard, case FIR number 38/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Udhampur.
In another case, a police party from PP Tikri, led by SHO Rehambal, Inspector Nishant Gupta and assisted by IC PP Tikri PSI Abdul Satar, intercepted one Amit Dubey, son of Kuldeep Dubey of Sallian Talab Udhampur and recovered 15.3 grams of contraband Heroin like substance from him. In this connection, case FIR No. 22/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS act has been registered in PS Rehambal.
Similarly, one Vipan Kumar, son of Prem Nath of Shiv Nagar, Udhampur was apprehended by the patrolling party of PP Tikri near Kali Mata Temple Tikri and during frisking, recovered 10 grams of contraband Heroin like substance.
Case FIR No. 23/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS act has been registered in this regard.
