JAMMU, Feb 3: Deputy Mayor JMC, Advocate Purnima Sharma here today chaired 10th meeting of Housing for All and Skill Upgradation & Self Employment (HFASUSE) Standing Committee.
Speaking in the meeting Purnima Sharma said that ICICI Academy will help in skill empowerment of the youth along with 85-90 per cent placement.
A visit was proposed by the Dy. Mayor to Government Women Polytechnic along with members of the Standing Committee where ICICI Academy is providing free training programmes to unemployed youth.
During meeting members of the Standing Committee raised issues like additional 25 Safai Karamcharis to be deployed for emergency VIP purpose, toilets to be constructed under the smart city project and extra Supervisors to be deployed in large Wards.
Other issue raised was that grievances should be attended in a proper manner and notice should be given to all the malls, restaurants and others for parking issues.
It was proposed in the meeting that many Rehris in Rehri zones and Rehri vends should have a dustbin otherwise the Rehri vends will be penalized and also Rs. 100 should be charged from all street vendors.
Councillor Pritam Singh proposed that Bahu Fort temple should be brought under shrine board so that it can be properly maintained and for this a letter should be sent to the administration.
Councillors Amit Gupta, Surinder Choudhary, Suneet Raina, Sharda Kumari and Narrotam Sharma were present in meeting along with the officials of JMC including Sudhir Bali, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Ajeet Singh, Joint Commissioner Works and others.
