JAMMU, Feb 4: Janipur Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered ganja from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Janipur led by SHO Inspector Ajaz Haider laid a naka and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 2.600 kilograms ganja from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Saunak Kumar Patel, son of Bhagwat Patel of Durpa Janjgir Champa Chattishgarh, at present Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 12/2022 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
