JAMMU, Feb 10: National Students Union of India (NSUI) has supported the Kashmiri University students’ demand for online examinations.
Talking to media persons, here today, NSUI J&K President Sunny Parihar accused the KU administration of betraying its students, who were assured of online examinations.
“After a strong protest by the students on 7th of February 2022 for online examinations, the KU administration had given a written assurance that their demand was conceded and the same would be notified the next day, but the university later refused to conduct the online exams,” he said.
The NSUI leader alleged that Kashmir University was harassing its students by denying online examination whereas the Jammu University has already notified that all its exams would be conducted online.
Sunny Parihar appealed the Lt Governor to intervene into the matter and direct Vice Chancellor KU to fulfill the genuine demand of conducting online examination for all courses in KU Campus.
NSUI activists Nipun Gandhi, Irshad Khatana, Sourav Verma , Manas Gandhi , Zia Choudhary, Vishu, Harsh and Rakshit were also present in the press conference.
