JAMMU, Feb 14: Safran Cricket Club trounced Sai Baba Cricket Club (SBCC) by 44 runs in the Pulwama Martyrs Cup, being played at Country Cricket Ground, here today.
Batting first, Safran CC made 195 runs by losing all wickets in 27.4 overs. Sidharth Bhat made highest 51 runs, whereas Rahul Jamwal scored 30 runs and Tanish Raina and Sarthak Khoda contributed 23 and 21 runs. From the bowling side, Vimal Raina was the wrecker-in-chief who took 5 wickets in 7 overs, Nadeem Ahmad clinched 4 wickets and Atul Singh Pathania took 1 wicket.
In reply, SBCC bundled out at 151 runs and lost the match by 44 runs wherein Atul Singh Pathania made 35 runs, whileRahish Syed scored 29 runs and Rahul Bhat and Jhonny contributed 19 (unbeaten) and 17 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Sarthak Khoda took 4 wickets, while Rahul Jamwal clinched 2 wickets and Ajeet Kumar, Deepak Kaul, Aman Rajput and Agastya shared a wicket apiece for their team.
