JAMMU, Feb 16: Day long Jammu District Archery Championship held today at Archery Ground MA Stadium here.
Archers from different schools, JKP team and from all over district participated in the championship.
Paras Ram Angral was the chief guest who awarded medals and certificates to the winners and participants.
The Championship was organized by Jammu District Archery Association under the aegis of J&K Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association.
Prominent among other present on the occasion were Sunil Sharma Senior Vice President Archery Association of Jammu and Kashmir and Vikas Gupta General Secretary Jammu District Archery Association. Officials who were present on the occassion were Sarjewan Singh, Darshana Kumari and Ankur Kumar.
In Senior Category 50 meters boys, Bhawani Jasrotia, Vinod Singh and Amit Bawa secured first, second and third positions respectively, in Senior Category 30 meters boys, Bhawani Jasrotia, Nitish Bawa and Vinod Singh clinched first, second and third positions respectively, in Senior Category 50 meters girls, Usha Devi, Simi Sharma and Meenu Choudhary bagged first, second and third positions respectively and in Senior Category 30 meters girls, Usha Devi, Kajal Verma and Simi Sharma clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In Sub Junior Indian Round Boys 30 meters, Nitish Bawa, Pranav Kumar and Arshit Sharma bagged first, second and third positions respectively, in Sub Junior Indian Round Girls 30 meters, Harsheen Kour, Riya Sharma and Bhanvi Slathia clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In Girls 20 meters, Harsheen Kour, Bhanvi Slathia and Vanshika bagged first, second and third positions respectively, in Boys 20 meters, Jaiveer Singh, Nitish Bawa and Arshit Sharma clinched first, second and third positions respectively, in Mini Sub Junior 20 meters boys Indian Round, Pranav Singh, Arnav Angeral and Pankaj Bawa clinched first, second and third positions respectively and in Girls, Shivani Sharma and Suhani Sharma bagged first and second positions respectively.
In 15 Meters, Pranav Singh, Arnav Angeral, and Aarav Sangral clinched first, second and third positions respectively, in Compound Senior (boys), Shubham Sharma and Nikhil Sharma clinched first and second positions respectively and in Girls, Anu Bhagat and Munisha Agarwal bagged first and second positions respectively.
