DODA, Feb 16: Police arrested an absconding drugs supplier, who was evading his arrest from the past sometime.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Post Pul Doda led by PSI Gourav Sharma under the supervision of SHO Doda Inspector Arun Sharma and DySP Headquarters Doda Jaswant Singh arrested an absconding drugs supplier identified as Surinder Singh, son of Hans Raj of Chakra Bhatti, Tehsil Bhalla Bhaderwah.
He was wanted in cases registered under FIR Numbers 08/2022 and 22/2022 registered with Police Stations Doda and Thathri respectively.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused was the main supplier of poppy straw and he was on the run for the last about one month after the commission of crime.
Further investigation into the cases is going on.
The arrest was made by the police team under the overall supervision of Abdul Qayoom SSP Doda.
