RAJOURI, Feb 19: One person was killed while two others were injured as a car rolled down into a river in Nowshera area last night.
Official sources said that during intervening night of Feb 18-19, at about 01.30hrs an Alto Car No. JK12B/4283 driven by Mohd Amin, son of Abdul Slam, resident of Barachar, Mandi in Poonch district met with an accident at Tain bridge, near Nowshera and fell into river in which one Mohd Irshad, son of Sana Ulha, resident of Rajpura, Mandi travelling in the said vehicle died while Mohd Azar, son of Mohd Arshad and driver of car- Mohd Amin sustained injuries and were shifted to SDH Nowshera by the locals.
The dead body of Mohd Arshad was also shifted to SDH Nowshera and after legal formalities body was handed over to family members for last rites. The police registered a case and started investigation. It was learnt that mishap took place due to nap by driver while driving mid night.
