SUNDERBANI, Feb 19: In a major anti-encroachment drive, Forest Department Sunderbani today retrieved 40 kanal forest land and demolished an illegal structure in compartment number 52 in village Daroon of block Sunderbani from the encroachers.
Official sources said that an anti-encroachment drive was launched on the direction of Conservator of Forests Rajouri, Vivek Verma, under the supervision of Division Forest Officer (DFO) Nowshera, Neelma Shah. A joint team of the Forest Department and Police and Forest Protection Force was constituted for the removal of encroachment across the forest areas of Daroon.
Forest Range Officer Sunderbani, Rakesh Verma along with staff and Ist Class Magistrate/Naib Tehsildar Sunderbani, Ashwani Raina and police force rushed on the spot with the help of JCB demolished illegal structure, constructed by Mohammad Qadir and cleared 40 kanal forest land encroached illegally.
