Banga coach confident of good show against Mumbai Masters

 

     Bangalore, Aug 14:

Banga Beats chief coach, U Vimal Kumar is confident of his side’s good showing against Mumbai Masters in their opening match of the Indian Badminton League, here tomorrow.

“Despite last minute stitch up, we are all raring to go,” Vimal said.

“Everything was like a well-oiled machinery…Last night at the stadium we got the feel of the high voltage drama that’s in store and we aim to come out as winners,” he added.

Vimal, a former chief national coach, said he was glad to see positive vibes in the team and the first practice session was seamless.

Banga Beats’ iconic player Parapulli Kashyap said they would settle for nothing less than a victory against Mumbai Masters.

“Fantastic start to IBL after trophy unveiling. I want the celebrations of Independence Day to continue even after our match tomorrow. We will go for the win,” he said.

Spain’s Carolina Marin said she wants to end the IBL on a high with some strong showing in the tournament. “I am excited and thrilled to be a part of IBL. I have been playing nonstop for few months and after IBL, I will go home and rest for some time.”

Another Indian shuttler and former national champion, Arvind Bhat said, “IBL is happening just at the right time for me. The energy in our camp is phenomenal. The positiveness will be seen on the court tomorrow.”

Denamrk’s Carsten Morgenson said the team has really gelled well and there is great team spirit and camaraderie within the unit.

“Team camaraderie is phenomenal. Last night at the official welcome dinner, it just took minutes for us to gel well. In India, the warmth and affection is visible and quite contagious.”
