JAMMU, Feb 20: A friendly match was organised today by Sri Ram Godham Gaushala between Wild X1 Cricket Club and Press Club Bishnah at Rehal Cricket Stadium, wherein former emerged as winner of the match.
The aim of the match was to educate youth to not indulge in any kind of drugs activities and make our UT a drug free.
The chief guests of the occasion were ADC Kishtwar Sham Lal, Mahant Maha Mandleshwar 1008 Anup Giri ji Maharaj, SHO Bishnah Vinod Kundal and Ramesh Khajuria (Sr. BJP leader).
Sumit, Abhishek, Sumit, Atul and Abhijyot helped Wild X1 to register a thrilling victory over Press Club Bishnah, here.
Earlier, Wild X1 won the toss and decided to bat first. With an opening stand of 73 runs between Abhishek and Abhijyot (30 runs) and captain’s inning by Abhishek (70 unbeaten in 50 balls) and a blistering knock of 36 Runs by Sumit, Wild X1 scored 176 runs in the limited 20 overs. Ankit scored 17 runs. From the bowling side, Satish took 2 wickets and Ravi took 1 wicket.
In reply, despite earlier breakthroughs by Anshul who took 2 wickets in 2 balls, Press Club Bishnah had a brilliant 3rd wicket partnership of 84 runs between Bhatia and Vivek. Brilliant comeback spells by Sumit Sharma and Atul helped Wild X1 to have a comeback in the match with quick break through by Sumit and brilliant run out by Pratyaksh and Abhijyot.
Later on Press Club Bishnah bundled out at 133 with 1 wicket shared each by Sahil Pratyaksh and Atul. Sumit was declared as man of the match for his all around performance. Both the teams thanked the organiser Dr Yash Pal Shastri for such an initiative and requested everyone to come forward and donate as per their will for Goshala.
