Cluster University students protest for online exams

JAMMU, Feb 24: Pressing for online examinations, students of Cluster University Jammu today held a protest demonstration in front of the Vice-Chancellor’s office at GGM Science College.
After boycotting their classes, the protesting students from Semester Ist, 3rd and 5th assembled near the Administration block and raised slogans in support of their demand.
They were particularly annoyed over no decision by the Cluster University authorities over mode of their semester examinations, which are likely to be held by the end of next month.

The protesting students said that they were not prepared for the offline examinations as all their classes were held online because of Covid pandemic. “Online classes had certain limitations and disadvantages, particularly because of internet problem in border areas and hence we are not prepared for the offline exams, they claimed.
Later, the Cluster University Vice-Chancellor, Prof Bechan Lal met the protesting students and clarified that decision on mode of examinations would be taken by the Government authorities and they same shall be conveyed to all.
