JAMMU, Mar 2: Jammu Dare Devils and Kashmir Rising Stars registered their grand victories against Kashmir Superstars and Jammu Warriors and entered in the final of the UT level Cricket tournament, being organized at JKCA Science Cricket Ground by J&K Police under the guidance of SJM Gillani, Additional Director General of Police Armed J&K.
In the first match, Jammu Dare Devils defeated Kashmir Super Stars by 55 runs. Batting first Jammu Dare Devils scored 159 runs for the loss of 5 wickets with Kamalpreet Singh’s 71 runs, Achintiya Khajuria’s 40 runs, Dhruv and Rohan Gill’s 20 and 13 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Junaid took 2 wickets, Sarsheel and Mehraj took 1 wicket each.
In reply Kashmir Super Stars managed to score 104 runs by losing all wickets in 17.1 overs with Qazi Junaid scoring 55 runs, Sarsheel Abbas scored 18 runs. From the bowling side, Kamalpreet Singh & Imran took 3 wickets each while Achintiya grabbed 1 wicket. Kamalpreet Singh was declared as the man of the match.
In 2nd match Kashmir Rising Stars defeated Jammu Warriors. Batting first Jammu Warriors scored 117 for 9 wickets in 20 overs wherein Rhydham made 42 runs, Toheed scored 27 runs. From the bowling side, Athar took 4 wickets, Oman clinched 2 wickets, Mudassir, Saqib and Sahil took 1 wicket each.
In reply Kashmir Rising Stars also scored 117 runs for all wickets in 20 overs wherein Zubair made 31 runs, Athar scored 19 runs and Kesar and Saqib contributed 17 &15 runs respectively. From the bowling side Vishal and Ilyass took 3 wickets each, Kafil took 2 and Qamar took 1 wicket. The match ended in a super over.
In the super over Kashmir Rising Stars scored 14 runs. In reply Jammu Warriors managed to score only 10 runs. Thus, Kashmir Rising Stars won the match and entered in the final.
Shehzad Salaria SSP APCR was the chief guest in the first match along with Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer, while SSP Dushyant Sharma SO Sports APHQ was the chief guest of the 2nd match.
The final match between Jammu Dare Devils and Kashmir Rising Stars shall be played tomorrow at the same venue.
