JAMMU, Mar 2: Jammu and Kashmir BJP spokesperson Abhijeet Jasrotia today said that members of Village Defense Committees (VDCs) were neglected by all previous Governments, both in Centre as well as State.
In a statement issued today, the BJP spokesperson said by taking the decision for revival of VDC under the new name of VDG, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has proved that BJP stands with nationalist people and ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas’ is not just a slogan but a reality on ground.
The BJP leader said that the family members of these VDC members who played key role in fighting against terrorists, suffered a lot due to neglect of the previous Governments but finally, they got justice and their valour was recognized by the Union Home Minister.
“We should not forget that terrorists who used automatic weapons at that time were given a tough fight by these village soldiers who were ready to sacrifice their life for their nation. Not only this, these soldiers who were equipped with normal guns proved nightmare for well trained Pak sponsored terrorist who killed many innocents in hilly areas of Rajouri, Poonch and Doda belt,” Jasrotia added.
