LJP demands onetime relief for power consumers

JAMMU, Mar 7: Lok Janshakti Party (RV) today demanded onetime relief for power consumers, who failed to pay their pending electricity bills.
Addressing a press conference, Rafiq Malik president, LJP Jammu Kashmir UT said that poor population of Jammu and Kashmir is unable to pay their pending electricity bills as it has increased manifolds in past few years.
The Government is issuing bills amounting more than lakhs, which is impossible to pay for poor. They are worried about the future. The party requested the LG adminstration to kindly waive off the bills and give one time relief to the people.
Malik also appealed the Government to address issue of unemployment and make some policies for recruiting the eligible youth.
Reyaz Ahmad Shah JKUT vice president, Mulkh Raj state secretary, Babar Mughal State president Sport and Culture, Maharaj Krishan Bhat State president Migrant Cell, Shakeel Ahmad Dar District president Pulwama and others were also present on the occasion.
