Educational-cum-motivational tour flagged off

UDHAMPUR, Aug 18: In an endeavour to provide exposure to the students in Ramban district and generate friendly atmosphere, an educational-cum-motivational tour namely ‘Sair-e-Watan’ was organized by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, which was flagged off by Commander 11 Sector RR from Chanderkot in Ramban, today.
23 youth and two teachers of various schools from Nachlana, Khari, Trenna, Kumla, Buzla, Mohu and Mangat of Ramban district are part of the tour, where in the students will interact with students of Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai (Sonipat), St Stephen’s College, Kirorimal College and Jamia Milia Islamia University, Delhi.
The participating students will also undergo coaching in the sports disciplines of cricket, swimming, basketball, football and volleyball.
Apart from gaining exposure in the field of sports the students will also visit the beautiful places namely Khwaja Khizar Tomb, Tilyar Lake in Sonipat and Rohtak and in Delhi the youth will experience a ride in the Metro and visit Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Nehru Planetarium, Qutub Minar, Akshardham and Lotus Temple and also interact with Vice Chief of Army Staff at Delhi.
This tour will enable the youth to spread the message of peace and communal harmony and provide opportunity to them to witness the rapid development in the field of Information Technology, Education, Infrastructure, Medical Science and other sectors in different parts of India.
