SRINAGAR, Aug 19: J&K defeated Mumbai in the first match of 17th All India T20 Cricket Federation Cup played between J&K Reds and Mumbai at Sports Stadium Pulwama, near here.
Opting to bat first, J&K Reds scored in reduced 18 overs match, 235 runs losing their top five batsmen. Ishtiyaq smashed swashbuckling 125 runs of just 50 balls, sending the bowlers on a leather hunt by hitting the ball all around the park.
In reply, Mumbai slumped before the Reds’ bowling attack, managing to score only 97 in the allotted overs.
In the second match played at Lajurah Cricket ground between J&K Blues and Vidarbah, Vidarbah defeated Blues. Telangana Reds were beaten by Delhi (NCR) at the same venue.
Haryana won the match against Maharashtra in the match played at Victor Force Cricket Stadium, Awantipora, and in another contest between J&K Greens and Jharkhand, Greens defeated Jharkhand at the same venue.
