SAMBA, Aug 19: Satish Sharma, president LYC Jammu Poonch, visited various areas of District Samba including Ratnu Chak, Birpur, Purmandal and met people.
The purpose of the visit was to make people aware of the benefits of Aadhaar Card, which will serve as a single unique identity proof throughout the country for availing various benefits with regard to Railway Reservation tickets, Cash Subsidy transfer, Booking of LPG connection and many other benefits.
He stressed that the purpose of Aadhaar was to check pilferage so that the benefits of the welfare schemes could be directly transferred to the end user. Under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, many people friendly schemes have been launched for the ultimate benefit of the country’s population, he said.
Among others who accompanied Satish Sharma, included Waseem Kohli, Paramjeet Singh, Rajan, Sarpanch and Naib-Sarpanch Birpur, Bilal Malik and Murtaza Wani.
