KATHUA, Aug 19: Police seized 10 buffalos and the truck in which they were being smuggled from Punjab today. The police also arrested the two smugglers.
According to police the people of surrounding areas, while seeing the truck along with 10 buffalos passing via Kotpunnu village an interior route from Punjab to J&K, they stopped it and did not allow to proceed further.
The people informed the police and police team rushed the area which seized the buffalos and truck bearing number PB VS 1061.
The Police also arrested Roshan Din, son of Mosa a local resident and Raju son Mohammed resident of Hoshiarpur, Punjab.
The Police has registered a case under RPC Section 188 against the smugglers.
