JAMMU, Aug 20: Karanveer Singh of Kathua defeated Naginder of Jammu in Under-19 boys Divisional Level Inter-District Chess Tournament, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Youth Hostel, Gandhi Nagar, here today.
In chess Under-19 girls, Anjum Choudhary of Jammu trounced Divya Sharma of Kathua.
Meanwhile, in carrom Under-19 boys, Deepak and Gourav Sharma of Kathua got better of Piyush Pandita and Akash of Jammu, while in carom Under-19 girls, Karandeep Kour and Preeti Jasrotia of Jammu prevailed over Shruti and Shrubhi Sharma of Jammu.
