AIPNBEF Central Committee meet at Srinagar on Aug 25-26

JAMMU, Aug 20: Central Committee meeting of All India Punjab National Bank Employees Federation (AIPNBEF) will be held at Srinagar on August 25-26 for discussing the national agenda.
This was informed by Malkeet Singh, State general secretary of Punjab National Bank Staff Union while talking to media persons, here today.
“We have finalized all arrangements for holding the Central Committee meeting, which is being held in Srinagar after more than 40 years”, he said, adding that delegates from all the State units of AIPNBEF under the leadership of Com  R Mehta, national general secretary, are participating in the national meet.
National agenda and other issues concerning bank employees will be deliberated in the meeting for evolving a road map for further talks with Indian Bank Association for bank wage revision and service conditions, Malkeet Singh explained.
Replying to a query, he said that the participating delegates would also put forth regional and local demands in the meeting for effectively projecting the same before the concerned authorities. “For example, Disturbed Area Allowance for the PNB employees working in militancy infested areas like erstwhile Doda, Poonch and Rajouri is our long pending demand, which would be discussed in the meeting, the State general secretary said.
He hoped that the gala event will also abreast the nation about the developments and happening in the banking industry at the national level besides projecting the issues of bank employees.
