JAMMU, Mar 17: UT level Senior Men Hockey Championship, organised by Hockey J&K entered in its 3rd day at KK Hakku Stadium, here today.
Four matches were played wherein Jammu East, Jammu West, Budgam and Kathua entered the 3rd round of the championship.
Jammu West trounced Anantnag by 6 goals to 5 via shootout competition, wherein SP Singh chief coach and Manager KK Hakku Stadium was the chief guest of the match, whereas 2nd match was played between Srinagar and Jammu West, which was won by Jammu West by a margin of 6 goal to nil wherein Dr JP Singh Chief Medical Officer Jammu was the chief guest of the match.
The 3rd match was played between Shopian and Budgam which was won by Budgam by margin of 2 goals to 1 and 4th match was won by Kathua defeating Jammu University by 3 goals to nil. Dr Daud Iqbal Baba Physical Director Jammu University was the chief guest of the last match of the day.
The matches were officiated by Tanveerul Haq, Brijesh Kumar, Salim and Sunil from Hockey J&K as well as Anjali Thakur and Minakshi Khajuria.
