KHC cautions displaced Pandits against vested interests

JAMMU, June 7: Kashmiri Hindu Conference (KHC) in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of its president M L Thusoo discussed prevailing political situation in the state viz -a -viz displaced KPs.
As per a release, the meeting expressed grave concern over the rigid attitude of the Government towards the genuine issues confronting the community including enhancement of cash relief, employment package and power and water supply problem being faced by the Jagti township inmates.
The meeting also expressed grave concern over the role of some vested elements who are misguiding the community and hobnobbing with the Government to sell the larger interests of the community for their petty gains.
P L Kaul Badgami while appealing the community to be untied cautioned it of such elements. He said the repercussions of their game plan can prove counterproductive and harm the community interests in the long run.
He said to defeat the designs of such elements the need of hour is that the leadership of the community which had played a remarkable role in past should sink their differences to defeat the designs of such elements.
He said any mistake at this juncture by the matured leadership of the community will have far reaching consequences as instead of concentrating on real issues these elements are looking for timely gains for their vested interests.
