BSF Paloura lifts U-19 boys handball title

JAMMU, Aug 22: Thrashing Army Public School (APS) Domana in a one-sided contest in the summit clash by seven goals to one (7-1), the formidable side of BSF Paloura lifted the Under-19 boys handball title in the Jammu District Inter-School Handball Championship at Dogra Ground, here today.
Gourav, Koushal and Suhail scored 2 goals each for the winners.
Earlier, in the semifinals, BSF Paloura defeated Government Boys Higher Secondary School Akhnoor by eleven goals to five (11-5) and APS Domana got the better of SRML Higher Secondary School, Jammu by seven goals to four (7-4).
In the league matches, Government Boys Higher Secondary School Akhnoor trounced APS Miran Sahib by a solitary goal, while APS Domana blanked Heritage School by three goals to nil (3-0).
The tournament was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the overall supervision of  Tirath Ram, District Officer, Jammu, while the matches were officiated by Ajay Sharma, Sanjay Jamwal, Gourav Sharma, Joginder Sharma and Ravinder.
