UDHAMPUR, Aug 23: Higher Secondary School (HSS) Panchari defeated HSS Barolla by 7 points in the Udhampur District Inter-School Under-19 boys Kabaddi Tournament, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Sports, Stadium here.
The Tournament is as part of the competitions being organized in the disciplines of kho-kho, wrestling, volleyball and kabaddi.
In other kabaddi matches, HSS Garh Samna Banj defeated JK Public Udhampur by 12 points, Boys HSS trounced HSS Majalta by 10 points, HSS Jaganoo prevailed over HSS Keya by 10 points and HSS Ghordi defeated HSS Garhi by 5 points.
In volleyball Under-19 boys, HSS Keya outplayed HSS Kud by (25-18, 25-21), HSS Ramnagar defeated HSS Panchari by (25-13, 25-15), Sharon Public HSS trounced Salmarhi by (25-19, 22-25, 25-23) and HSS Majalta defeated HSS Ghordi by (25-18, 23-25, 25-16).
HSS Garhi got better of HSS Jaganoo by 5 points in kho-kho Under-19 boys, while HSS Barola drubbed HSS Barta by 5 points and HSS boys Udhampur defeated HSS Barolla by 11 points.
Meanwhile, in wrestling Under-19 boys, Vishabjeet Singh of HSS Chanunta claimed gold in 46-51 kg category, while silver in this event was bagged by Ashok Kumar of HSS Garhi.
52-57 kg category gold went to Shair Singh of HSS Panchari, while silver was claimed by Mukesh Kumar of Boys HSS Udhampur.
The Tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Sukhdev Singh, DYSSO Udhampur.
