GDC Bishnah organizes Solo Song, Painting Competition

BISHNAH, Aug 23: NSS Unit of Government Degree College, Bishnah organized a Community and Solo Song Competition, besides a Poster Making and Painting Competition in the Sadbhavna weeklong celebrations on the theme “Peace and Communal Harmony,” here.
The Competition was held under the supervision of Prof Savtanter Kour, NSS Programme Officer and under the convenership of Prof Sunita Gupta.
Prof Kalpana Kesar, Principal of the College was the chief guest on the occasion, who while addressing the students stressed upon the need of establishment of peace and harmony.
12 NSS Volunteers participated in the Community and Solo Song Competition and 5 NSS Volunteers participated in Poster Making/Painting Competition depicting the slogans of peace and communal harmony under the supervision of of Prof Savtanter Kour. Parveen Kumar of BA Part-I, Mangat Ram of BA Part-II and Prem Lata of BA Part-I were adjudged as Ist, IInd and IIIrd in Solo Song and Special prize for Group Song Competition, while Nidhu Kaith, Monika Kaith and Pooja Devi were adjudged as Ist, IInd and IIIrd in Poster/Painting Competition. Neeva Dabbay and Ruhee Sharma were nominated for consolation prize by the panel of judges comprising of D Renu Gupta, Anshu Andotra and Sapna Sharma.
Sunil Pangotra was also present on the occasion, while Bandhu Sharma presented vote of thanks.
