POONCH, Mar 28: A number of daily wagers of Jal Shakti Department here today staged a protest demonstration against the LG administration for deduction from their salary.
One of the protesters—Maqbool Hussain while speaking on the occasion said that six days salaries of daily wagers was deducted while they were waiting for the salaries of last two months.
He claimed that the government has cheated them while they are working day and night for the department.
“We need money for admissions of our children and how can we feed our families with just few hundred rupees in hand,” he said adding that if the government fails to pay them their full salaries then they will be forced to come on roads.
