REASI, Mar 28: Reasi Police today arrested an absconding criminal who was facing trail in a theft case.
The accused, namely Farooq Ahmed Rather, son of Mohd Shairef of Thaloran Gandoh Doda, was absconding in case FIR number 04/2016, 73/2016 and 98/2017 Under Section 454/380/34 RPC of Police Station Reasi.
During investigations cases got proved against him and chargsheeted in the court of law. To avoid conviction, the accused jumped trial proceedings and becomes underground. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by the Court of Munsif Reasi on 03/09/2019.
Reasi Police developed specific information and arrested the accused from Jammu and produced him in court of law at Reasi. Court sent him to judicial custody at district jail Reasi.
