JAMMU, Mar 28: Shiv Sena J&K here today staged a protest demonstration in front of the office of DTM Jammu Tawi Railway Station demanding restoration of rail fare concession for senior citizens.
The protest was led by Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni and the protesters carried placards with ‘Restore Rail Fares Concession to Senior Citizens’ written on them.
They submitted a memorandum to the DTM for Union Railway Minister seeking restoration rail fare concession to senior citizens.
Talking to reporters, Sahni said that during Corona pandemic, PM Modi led government had stopped rail fare concession to senior citizens of the country which has not yet restored even after three waves of the pandemic.
