JAMMU, Mar 28: A man was arrested today by Jammu police for making objectionable remarks on social media.
“Amid a recent anti-encroachment drive by District administration in Jammu, a man identified as Mohd Yousaf Wani son of Abdul Razaak Wani, resident of Lal Chowk (at present near army gate, Sunjwan, Jammu) made some sensitive and objectionable remarks in an interview on social media,” a police spokesperson said.
He said taking note of it, Jammu police registered a case FIR Number 93/22 under sections 153A, 505, 295A and accordingly, arrested the accused. The spokesperson appeals every citizen to choose words wisely before sharing statements on social media and media platforms.
