Kapahi starts lane-drain work

JAMMU, Mar 28: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Parmodh Kapahi here today started lane and drain work at Ashok Nagar in Ward 14.
The work will be completed after an expenditure of Rs. 8.50 lakh and the condition of lanes and drains was very bad since long due to which the locals of the area and the passersby faced a lot of problems while passing through these lanes.
Speaking on the occasion Kapahi appealed to the general public to come forward and co-operate JMC in various development works undertaken in the city.
He urged upon his Ward residents to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and stop throwing debris and garbage in public drains and lanes.
The JMC Councillor also appealed to the people to segregate dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
Locals including Satish Nargotra, Kumar Kant, Raman Sharma, Ajeet Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
