REASI, Mar 30: YCC Reasi emerged winners of the opening match of Reasi Chenab Premier League which commenced today at Sports Stadium, here today.
Deputy Commissioner, Babila Rakwal who was the chief guest declared open the tournament in presence of SSP, Amit Gupta, Addl. SP Surjeet Bhagat, Chairman MC Shashi Puri, Councillor Dheeraj Gupta, Amit Sharma, Ashok Bali and others.
Rajesh Dogra president Press Club Reasi while speaking told that the main motto of this tournament is to promote the sports activities among the local youth.
The tournament is being organized by the journalist fraternity of Reasi with a vision to engage youth in sports related events. The opening match was played between Youngster Cricket Club (YCC) and Battal Ballian Cricket Club (BB CC) Udhampur.
Batting first, YCC made a huge total of 209 runs for the loss of 5 wickets wherein Kamaljeet scored 42 runs, while Rubel Singh and Muddasar Malik scored 22 and 73 runs respectively.
In reply, BB CC all-out at 95 runs wherein Sahil scored 34 runs and Randhir 12 runs. From YCC, Happy claimed 2 wickets, whereas Sahil took 3 wickets and Girish and Gourav 2 wickets each.
Mudassar Malik was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance.
