HSS Panthal organizes symposium

PANTHAL, Aug 24: In collaboration with community Health Centre Katra, under NRHM, a Symposium on the topic “Save the Girl Child” was organized at Government Higher Secondary School, here today.
Rattan Lal, retired Zonal Education Officer was chief guest, while BMO Katra, Dr Gopal Dutt was the guest of honor and Principal Higher Secondary School Panthal, Sunil Nanda presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest threw light on the topics including female feticide, female infanticide and PC-PNDT Act etc, besides highlighting aim for organizing the function. Certificates and cash prize of Rs 2500 was awarded to Bhumika Rajput who was adjudged Ist , Rs 2000 to Poonam Devi, who was declared 2nd and 3rd prize was given to Mohd.Hanif. Three consolation prizes of Rs 500 each were also given to Rimpy Sharma, Sonali Rajput and Shwaita Shaan .
Ten students participated in the symposium.
Principal of the School presented welcome address.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sarpanchs Rajinder Kumar Thapa, Suresh Kumar Mengi and Medical Officer Panthal, Dr Jyoti Kumari.
