Govt committed to upgrade rural infrastructure: DyCM

THATHRI, Aug 25: While reitreating resolve of  the Government to upgrade rural infrastructure, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand today said that focused attention is being paid to the development of  remote and backward areas in the State.
While addressing a public meeting here today, the Dy Chief Minister said that work on the road map to address aspirations of the people living in far-flung areas has already showing results. He pointed out that with the active support of the Union Government mega projects have been launched for all around development for every nook and corner of the State besides ensuring equitable development of all the regions.
Tara Chand further  said that peace was the only path through which the desired and multi-faceted growth and social development of the State can be achieved  and under peaceful atmosphere, the Government can focus on the developmental activities for the benefit and welfare of the people which is not possible if the peace deteriorates.
G M Saroori MLA Inderwal appreciated the people of Thathri  and Doda for strengthening and upholding traditions of brotherhood  and communal  harmony among various sections of society. He impressed upon the people to stay united  and defeat the nefarious designs of the anti-national people who are making efforts to destroy the harmonious atmosphere in the State.
SSP Doda Arif Rishu, CEO Kishtwar Rajinder Kumar, CEO Doda and several other officers were present on the occasion. On this occasions locals put forth their demands which included making separate Education Zone for Kahra area  of Doda, providing adequate staff in Government schools, clean drinking water  improve facilities at Thathri hospital and its upgradation to 50 bedded as announced by Union Health Minister G N Azad.
