JAMMU, Apr 14: Vinayaka CC won the 3rd match of KPL-VII, played at KC Sports Ground against Malang Cricket Club in a row, here today.
The VCC won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, VCC scored 243 runs in the allotted 20 overs wherein Ashwani scored 38 runs while Rakesh made a quick fire 45 runs. Bazaz was the highlight of the game as he remained on the crease with all guns blazing and made a splendid 107 runs by hitting 7 boundaries and 10 sixes in just 48 balls. The whole bowling attack of MCC failed recklessly against the marvellous batting of Bazaz. MCC used all the best bowlers in the line-up but only Sanjay Raina and Rajesh Dutt took two wickets each.
In reply, MCC bundled out at 173 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Anil Bushan made 21 runs by facing just 10 balls. Rajesh Dutt played a great innings and scored 60 runs in 44 balls, while Vivek Suri scored 44 runs in 32 balls. From VCC, Sumit scalped 3 wickets, while Rohan Punjabi and Mohan took 2 wickets each. Bazaz was adjudged as man of the match for his best performance with the bat.
