JAMMU, Apr 17: The Gandhi Nagar Green Belt Park Morning Walkers’ Association today honoured Sapna Jain for winning four gold medals at the National Classic Powerlifting Championship held recently at Alleppey Kerala.
KB Jandial, former IAS Officer and senior member of the Association honoured her with a memento and bouquet on behalf of the Association.
Asian medallist Sapna, daughter-in-law of Pawan Jain, patron of the Association, is a house wife and has been credited with winning medals at National and Asian Powerlifting Championships in the past. This is the first time that she has won four gold medals in the master category in a single tournament.
Jandial eulogized her growing interest in this sport and has now created her niche at national level and said that Sapna has proved her mettle even at international level and brought laurels to Jammu by her commendable achievements.
A large number of the morning walkers were present at the occasion.
