Benia Min lifts 93rd Jhajjar Kotli Dangal title

JAMMU, Apr 17: Wrestler Benia Min of J&K Police lifted 93rd Jhajjar Kotli Dangal by defeating Amit of Chandigarh in a tough bout, organised by Jhajjar Kotli Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, here today.
The event was organised under the supervision of Durga Dass Thappa and Ajeet Thappa wherein 32 bouts were organised.
The winner of Dangal was given a cash prize of Rs 41000, while the runner-up wrestler was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 30000. The 2nd bout was won by Muneer of Nagrota by defeating Ajit of Zirakpur and awarded with cash prize of Rs 25000 and Rs16000 respectively, whereas the 3rd bout was won by Nadeem of Doda trouncing Babba of Kot Bhalwal and were awarded with Rs 17000 and 14000 respectively.
Kisan Morcha J&KUT Prabhari Nand Kishore Sharma was the chief guest, while Shiv Kumar Sharma, former president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association presided over the function and District Jammu president BJP Rajinder Singh Chib, Mandal Pardhan Bharat Bhushan, Tehsildar Drub Gupta and SHO Devinder Singh were among the guests of honour along with prominent citizens of the area.
In other bouts, Dillar Khan beat Sagar, Amir Khan defeated Gurmail, Ranjeet Singh defeated Sonun, Arjun beat Saif Malok and the bout between Sethi and Liakat Ali ended in a draw.
Members and technical officials were Durga Dass Thappa, Ajeet Thappa, Ankush Baru, Sham Lal Baru, Mulkh Raj Baru and many others.
