3 drug peddlers arrested with ganja, Rs 1.52 lakh cash

JAMMU, Apr 17: Bahu Fort and Narwal Police arrested three drug peddlers along with 14 kilograms ganja and Rs 1.52 lakh cash.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali and assisted by PSI Balbir Singh laid a naka under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and SP South Mamta Sharma and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 12 kilograms ganja from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Tirith Ram Sahu of Chhattisgarh.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Narwal led by SI Achal Rana laid a naka near Rajeev Nagar and arrested two drug peddlers identified as Vicky of Rajasthan at present Rajeev Nagar Narwal District Jammu and Deepak Kumar of Rohini Delhi at present Rajeev Nagar Narwal District Jammu along with 2 kilograms ganja and Rs 1.52 lakh cash.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
