JKATA threatens stir for one time regularization of ReZ

JAMMU, Aug 28: Seeking one time regularization of Rehbar-e-Zerat who have completed seven years of service in Agriculture Department, the Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association has threatened agitation if the Government does not consider their demand.
Talking to media persons, JKATA president Dr Surinder Radotra opposed the Government decision of giving weightage of restricted 100 points on the basis of Agriculture degrees and not seniority according to year of passing. Since a majority of ReZ are overaged, Government should regularize them in one go on the basis of year of their pass-out, he added.
Dr Jai Vashisht, senior general secretary of JKATA announced that ReZ would launch district level protests if their demands are not considered as soon as possible.
He  reminded that on the direction of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, his advisor Mubarak Gul had promised to make necessary amendments in the various Government and Cabinet orders to meet their just and genuine demands following which the Association had called off its 55-day long fast unto death strike.
If the Government does not consider our demands, we will be left with no option other than to go on a similar agitational path, he warned.
