RAMBAN, Apr 20: A driver was killed after the truck he was driving rolled down into gorge near Khooni Nallah area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway here today morning.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number PB10HL-3434 was on its way to Kashmir from Jammu, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into deep gorge near Khooni Nallah area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, resulting into on the spot death of the driver.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and retrieved the body of the deceased driver from the gorge.
The body was later shifted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Ramsoo for completion of medical and legal formalities.
The deceased was identified as Kalvinder Singh, son of Satnam Singh of Uttar Pradesh.
A case under FIR Number 44/2022 under Sections 279 and 304-A IPC has been registered at Police Station Ramsoo and investigation started to ascertain the cause of the accident.
