Srinagar, Apr 20: The Fire Service Week organized by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services across J&K culminated today.
The start of events at the beginning of the week was launched on April 16 after commemoration parades were held across the UT.
This year’s year theme/slogan for Fire Safety Week was chosen by MHA as “Learn Fire Safety, Increase Productivity,” which itself indicates that one needs to learn Fire Safety to increase productivity applicable to all.
The officials said that while the Fire Safety Week ended, the awareness drive will continue. They said that fire demos, lectures and mock drills need to be followed in letter and spirit by one and all. “Only that will help us to make UT fire incident-free,” officials said.
On the last day, the awareness program was held at St Mary’s Convent School, Bari Brahmana Jammu. On this occasion, a session of training for school children and staff members was held.
