JAMMU, Apr 22: Vision Kashmir an organization of overaged youth and relief holders while highlighting issues of sustenance and survival pertaining to the relief holders and over aged youth of the exiled community, showed its concern over the callousness of the Government towards these issues.
Sunil Fotedar convener the organization while addressing the press conference said that over aged relief holders of the displaced community continue to struggle for their basic amenities ,sustenance and survival. Due to catastrophic situation that arose due to pandemic, the misfortunes multiplied to such an extent that financial instability broke the financial spine of overaged relief holders and it would be appropriate to term them as economically weaker section.
The organization has a number of times requested through verbal prayers and memorandums for enhancement in cash assistance as its very difficult for them to sustain due to high market index and high inflation where the prices of essential commodities are sky rocketing. He added overaged relief holders have become stumbling blocks by facing a lot of humiliation and embracement because of the apathy of the authorities at the helm of affairs by heating touch rather than healing touch.
He said overaged relief holders demand enhancement of their amount of cash assistance keeping in consideration present market index and high inflation , the cost of daily necessities are touching sky and now its extremely difficult to sustain with a meager amount of cash assistance of 3250 /= per soul which was earlier enhanced in the year June 2018 from Rs 2500 to Rs 3250 per individual. We are not demanding moon, we only demand right to live with legitimate rights.
