SRINAGAR, Aug 30: State Service Board has left hundreds of job aspirants confused by not specifying weightage of marks which they will score in written test.
The job aspirants said though the recruiting agency has clearly specified points for qualification, yet the weightage that will be given to the marks scored in the written qualifying test has not been made public even as the test is to be held two weeks later.
“The written examination is looming over us as it is to be conducted in the second week of September. But SSB has not come clear about the weightage that will be given to marks scored in the test. It has created doubt and confusion among us about the final selection of candidates,” said Gulshan Wani, a female aspirant from Ganderbal.
Wani alleged that it looks the Board will publish the notification about the weightage of the marks after their evaluating the performance of their “blue eyed candidates” in the written test.
“The points to be given to the weightage should have been notified along with the points table for academic qualification,” she said.
Secretary SSB Farooq Ahmad Baba said they will clear the confusion about the points to be given to the marks obtained after four days.
The Board has advertised hundreds of vacancies in different departments earlier this year.
