SAMBA, Apr 26: Police Martyrs Memorial Cricket Tournament organized by Samba Police under Civic Action Programme concluded at Gurah Sports Stadium, Vijaypur, here today.
Hit for Win Cricket Club Vijaypur emerged as champion of the tournament.
The Cricket Tournament was organized in the memory of brave police martyrs who gave supreme sacrifices of their lives for the sovereignty and integrity of the nation.
Cricket teams across district Samba had participated in the tournament and the final match was played today between Hit For Win Cricket Club, Vijaypur and Vijaypur Cricket Club in which Hit For Win Cricket Club, Vijaypur won the match by 6 wickets.
Later, prize distribution function was held in which both the winner and runner-up teams were awarded with trophies by chief guest, Principal Government Higher Secondary School, Gurah Slathia.
Besides this, the winner team was also awarded with a cricket kit and the referees and supporting officials were given the mementos.
