Jammu, Aug 30: Tamil Nadu Cricket Club and Rajput Cricket Club, Jammu trounced UP Cricket Club and Haryana Cricket Club respectively in the ongoing All India 1st Jammu Kashmir Friendship T-20 Cricket Championship 2013 for Peace at Jammu University organized by Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Doda.
The first match was played between UP Cricket Club and Tamil Nadu Cricket Club. Batting first after winning the toss, Tamil Nadu Cricket Club scored a total of 106 runs in stipulated 20 overs. Raja was the highest scorer who scored 27 runs while Akshay Koul contributed 27 runs for his team. From UP Cricket Club,Mandeep and Vinod took 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
In reply, UP Cricket Club could not chase the target and only reach to 93 runs with the loss of five wickets.
Abhay Choudhary was the highest scorer who scored 32 runs while Ramandeep contributed 15 runs for the team.
From Tamil Cricket Club, Parveen and Raja Sheikh took, wicket each.
Raja Sheikh of Tamil Nadu Cricket Club was declared as Man of the Match for his best Batting performance.
Whereas, the second match was played between Haryana Cricket Club and Rajput Cricket Club Jammu. Batting first after winning the toss, Rajput Cricket club Jammu scored a total of 99 runs by loosing of four wickets, Jasvinder was the highest scorer who scored 24 runs while Asim contributed 21 runs for his team. From Haryana Cricket Club , Balvinder and Sandeep took 2 and 1 wickets respectively
In reply,Haryana Cricket Club could not chase and only reaches to 66. Deepak was the highest scorer from Haryana Cricket Club who scored 30 runs followed by Sanjay who contributed 15 runs for his team. From Rajput Cricket Club Jammu Gagan and Gurvinder Rumi took 2 and 1 wicket respectively.
Gagan of Rajput Cricket Club Jammu was declared as Man of the Match for his best all round performance.
Mohd Rafi and Rajinder acted as umpire while yasir dar was official scorer.
