Simran selected for World School Games

JAMMU, Apr 27: Simran Kour- trainee of Sports Council’s Gymnastics Academy Jammu, has been selected for 17th World School Games (Gymnasiade)-2022, scheduled to be held at Normandy, France, organised by International School Games Federation from May 14 to 22.
The’ ISF Gymnasiade’ is the largest international multisport event for school Students from the age 16 to18 years. The major international sports event was first time organised in the year 1974 and this year, the international body is organising 19th edition of the World School Game.
Her coach, Krupali Singh (Arjuna Awardee) has also been nominated as coach for this event. “It is the hard work of Gymnastics coaches, dedication of J&K Gymnastics Association and timely and wholehearted support of the Council that J&K Gymnasts are reaching glorious heights by winning medals in national and international arena” said the father of Simran.
Simran has been selected to participate in a group event of ‘Rhythmic Gymnast’ who was picked during the selection Trials, conducted by School Games Federation of India at Balewadi Sports Complex, Pune recently.
Secretary Sports Council Nuzhat Gul congratulated Simran and her coach for this glorious achievement.
